The Pale Horses, tail code PH, was reactivated at MCAS Miramar on December 2, 2010.

Previously served as HMM-561


Following the budget cuts announced on January 2012, they were deactivated on 06 July 2012 at Miramar, CA and the 12 MV-22B Ospreys assigned to them shipped to Okinawa for VMM-265.

Sister squadron VMM-562 was not created
