1969-05-17 A RM Condor Accident wreck subsequently to Lee-on-Solent, to Arbroath (HMS Condor) as G.I. airframe Feb 1970 until early 1973.
I was crewman onboard Wessex HU Mk5 XT774: 845Sqn, whilst landing underslung trailer on deck Of HMS Bulwark R08 off Cyprus. Lost power, heavy landing, entered ground resonance, port undercarriage collapsed, a/c rolled onto port side, A/B AB Hughes killed by debris and A/B W Willis injured, Bulwark off Cyprus, Cat HY 17may69 (S/L DP Dixon and PO VS Warrington).
