The Maureen Field was discovered in 1972, with hydrocarbons sourced from the Jurassic Kimmeridge Formation. They have been trapped in the Palaeocene Maureen Formation, which has been domed into an anticline by mobilisation of Permian salt beneath it. It began production in 1983 and ceased in Oct 1999.
