India's LCH is a twin-engine, 5.8-ton class helicopter featuring narrow fuselage and tandem configuration for Pilot and Co-pilot/Weapon System Operator (WSO). It incorporates number of stealth features such as reduced radar and infra-red signatures and crashworthy landing gear for better survivability.
First flew March 29, 2010. Four Technology Demonstrator (TD) prototypes have been built.
First 15 Limited Series Production (LSP) LCH helicopters for the Army and Air Force approved by the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in 2017. First three LSP to delivered by March 2021
