In 2007 Turkey signed with AgustaWestland an agreement to purchase 51 (+40 options) A129 Mangusta based on the A129 International and to be assembled in Turkey by TAI as the T-129 starting from 2013. Nine more units, in a basic configuration, were awarded in 2010 to be delivered in 2012 ahead of the initial order
