Kopter, October 13, 2025 - The full-scale AW09 cabin mock-up will soon arrive in Manila, bringing Leonardo’s next-generation single-engine helicopter closer to customers across Southeast Asia.
Leonardo is pleased to announce that the full-scale AW09 cabin mock-up is on its way to Manila, Philippines.
Southeast Asia is among the world’s most dynamic helicopter markets, and the Philippines offers particularly strong potential for the AW09. Its archipelagic geography and the large fleet of single-engine helicopters already in service make it an ideal environment for Leonardo’s next-generation helicopter.
Hosted by Helitech Asia, Leonardo’s exclusive AW09 regional distributor, the mock-up will be on display in Manila from mid-October 2025. This initiative will provide customers from across Southeast Asia and Korea the opportunity to explore the AW09 cabin, experience its comfort and versatility first-hand, and meet directly with the Helitech team.
Meanwhile, the AW09 programme continues to advance with strong momentum. The first serial-representative aircraft, designated S6, has completed successful flights, while flight testing with our PS4 and PS5 prototypes, along with an extensive ground test campaign, is progressing in parallel toward certification
With its spacious cabin, outstanding performance, and modern design, the AW09 is set to redefine the single-engine helicopter segment and strengthen Leonardo’s presence in the Southeast Asian market.
