TAI, September 03, 2018 - ISTAMBUL - Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) completed the system integration of the indigenous helicopter T625 and started engine ground tests.
A twin-engine, 6-ton-class helicopter for 12 passengers, the T625 is powered by two LHTEC (a Rolls Royce and Honeywell partnership) CTS800 turboshaft engines of 1373 shp each which also powers the TAI T129 military helicopter.
First flight of the prototype is scheduled for later this year.
