1970 HS-74 commissioned at Quonset. I reported to squadron in 1971!
1970-1974 HS-74 The whole time I was in, we had HS-3A. I was with them when Quonset closed and we moved to South Weymouth. In 72 we stripped the sonar from 5 helos. We started off to Lakehurst NJ. My help had no anger so we headed back. Had navgear installed and were held over night. Next day we flew to Elmira/Corning New Yok for 13 days. Performing radio runs for NY State Police and performing medivacs.

1973, HS-4 was originally commissioned at NAS Quonset Point, RI. After NAS Quonset was closed; HS-74 transferred command to NAS South Weymouth, MA
1976-1982, my husband was a crew member on HS-74 ( nickname for helicopter was BIGMOTHERS... I’ve been trying to have sweater and a cap made... ( HS-74 ) cannot find anyplace to do this.... Anyone have any info? My husband been sick with cancer thought this would b thoughtful present....Ty
