BHELEME II ( Batallón de Helicópteros de Emergencias II ) established December 18 2008 to provide support and assistance to the civilian population in case of disasters in collaboration with the different Battalions of Intervention or UME ( Unidad Militar de Emergencias ) which are located throughout the country. The helicopters performs rescue missions and fire fighting. BHELEME II has 2 units, one of medium helicopters ( Army Cougars ) located at Jame I in Valencia and a light unit with EC135 at Coronel Mate, Colmenar Viejo
