Jan71, I was in 462, all ch53d but a couple of As
Nov78-Nov79, I was assigned to HMH 462 while the squadron was stationed a Futema Air Station in Okinawa. All the Squadron aircraft were CH-53D's
1990, HMH-462 flew the CH-53A model all the way up to August of 1990 when at that time we transferred all remaining A models to other Squadrons and took only D models with elastomeric rotor heads to Desert Shield / Desert Storm! HMH-462 flew the A & D models together for quite some time! -
