Jan Mayen class

The Jan Mayen class are offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) designed to replace the ageing Nordkapp-class ships. Considerably larger than their predecessors, they are capable of navigating in icy seas. The stern deck is large enough to accommodate an AW101 helicopter, and the hangar can house up to two NH90s.
