Apr 1968	Aircraft	transferred 829 NAS Wasp XT434 in from HMS Gurkha to replace XS540. HMS Gurkha was heading back to the UK whilst HMS Aurora was preparing for a Beira Patrol and subsequent Far East deployment, until she returned to the UK in Nov 1969
May 1968	Deployment	Mozambique Channel in Mozambique Channel, enforcing UN sanctions. Beira Beira Patrol
Jan 1972	Deployment	Assigned to STANAVFORLANT until Jul 1972.
Dec 1974	Refit	Commenced Ikara refit at HMD Chatham, completed Feb 1976 Ikara
May 31, 1979	Aircraft	loaned Ships Flight Wasp to HMS Hermes for a month
