Aerolite AG has received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for its lightweight air medical interior designed for the Airbus H145D3 helicopter, enabling installation of the system on U.S.-registered aircraft.
The newly approved interior builds upon Aerolite’s existing H145 medical cabin configurations previously certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), providing operators with a modular solution for a wide range of helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) and patient transport missions.
The interior incorporates configurable layouts that allow flexible positioning of medical equipment while improving patient access and crew ergonomics. Features include enhanced patient safety provisions, a no-lift roll-in stretcher system, and a certified pack rack that permits medical equipment to remain securely installed during takeoff and landing.
The modular design is intended to reduce aircraft reconfiguration time while allowing operators to tailor cabin layouts to different mission profiles, ranging from routine patient transfers to advanced critical care transport.
The FAA approval expands Aerolite’s certified product portfolio in North America, providing H145 operators with an additional lightweight cabin solution designed to maximize usable cabin space while supporting modern emergency medical operations.
