Boeing, March 11, 2025 - Boeing and Bell Textron, a Textron Inc. company, have signed a contract extension reaffirming Boeing as an authorized and endorsed supplier of used serviceable material (USM) for Bell 212 and 412 helicopters.
This extension enhances parts inventory and distribution efficiency for commercial helicopter operators.
Boeing will continue to provide USM parts for purchase and exchange. All repaired or overhauled parts are FAA approved and processed through Bell’s Authorized Customer Service Facilities and Bell Authorized Maintenance Centers.
Travis Sullivan, vice president and general manager, Boeing Distribution, said "Extending our initiative solidifies our role as a leading USM parts provider. Our global inventory and distribution network allows operators to access needed parts 24/7.”
Chris Schaefer, vice president, Global Customer Solutions, Bell said “We’re thrilled to extend this initiative with Boeing to bring a broader pool of 212 and 412 parts to our global operators to increase availability and reduce their downtime”
Key benefits:
- Quality access: Bell Medium operators and Customer Service Facilities gain access to reliable Bell components and Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6T material.
- Increased availability: Operators benefit from improved access to hard-to-source materials.
- Reduced downtime: Boeing’s global exchange pool and stocked parts minimize downtime for operators.
- Cost savings: Offering quality USM reduces direct operating costs compared to new parts.
Boeing manages the recertification of USM parts, promoting sustainability by recycling high-value components. With over 15 million parts in its portfolio, Boeing continues to reduce costs and complexities for global customers.
