The Marine-Luchtvaartdienst ( MLD, Netherlands Naval Aviation Service ) is the naval aviation branch of of the Royal Netherlands Navy ( Koninklijke Marine ). From April 30, 2013 all Navy ships prefix changed from Hare Majesteit (Hr. Ms.) to Zijner Majesteit (Zr. Ms.) as the Netherlands welcomes their new King.
As of 2018, the RNLN performs regular deployments to the Caribbean, Mediterranean (Operation Sophia), Horn of Africa (Operation Atalanta) and Bahrein (Combined Task Forces). Marines are/can be deployed to Mali, Afghanistan, Lithuania and observers in South Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon/Syria and Libya
