Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department

The LVMP Air Support Unit or Metro began operation in 1969. They cover an 8,000 square mile (aprox 21,000 km2) region flying 6,000 hours annually. In 2010 they moved into a new state of the art hangar at the North Las Vegas Airport.
