2004-dec-08AircraftAircraft 12nm E of The Lizard Accident Lynx XZ724 during SAR by 815 NAS 229 Flt received report of man overboard from HMS Montrose, off the Lizard. Working with Sutherland Flt Lynx and 771NAS Sea King Rescue 193 on scene. This tragedy led to the inauguration of the Osprey Trophy in 2007 for excellence amongst front line Lynx units.
2005-febDeploymentDeployment South Atlantic Atlantic Patrol Task (South) departed HMNB Devonport for Atlantic Patrol Task (South) deployment, for Task Group 326.02. Operated around Falkland Islands between Mar and Sep 2005, relieving HMS Gloucester and herself relieved by HMS Southampton.
2007-aug-21DeploymentDeployment KY George Town HSB APT(N) Stood off George Town to conduct damage assessment following Hurricane Dean, supported by RFA Wave Ruler.
2008-sepAircraftAircraft 815 Sq 206 Flt embarked with its Lynx.
2008-novDeploymentDeployment departed HMNB Devonport for 8 month maritime security mission in Arabian Gulf and Indian Ocean, returning 3 Jul 2009.

2010-apr-13DeploymentDeployment South Atlantic Atlantic Patrol Task (South) Sailed from HMNB Devonport for a 7 month deployment to the South Atlantic. 815 Sq 206 Flt Lynx HMA.8 embarked. Relieved HMS York and in turn was relieved on station by HMS Gloucester.

2012-janRefitRefit towed array sonar Type 2087 to Rosyth for 50 week refit at Babcock, including Type 2087 sonar installation and Sea Wolf mid-life upgrade, departed mid Dec 2012. Rejoined the Fleet on 7 Mar 2013 at HMNB Devonport.

2018-febRefitRefit HMD Devonport LIFEX CAMM (M) Sea Ceptor Life extension refit at HMD Devonport until c Dec 2020. Also fitted with new UE S2150 bow sonar to replace the Type 2050 set.
2022-jun-13DeploymentDeployment Exercise Dynamic Mongoose 2022 participated in DYMO 2022.
2023-mar-12DeploymentDeployment ordered from Plymouth to escort Russian DDG Admiral Kasatonov and the auxiliary Akademik Pashin through the English Channel to the North Sea.
2024-feb-15DeploymentDeployment Exercise Steadfast Defender 2024 joined Prince of Wales Strike Group in North Sea, in place of unseaworthy HMS Somerset as escort frigate.
2024-marDeploymentDeployment Exercise Steadfast Defender 2024 particpated in Ex Nordic Response in Norwegian and Arctic waters
