Twin-engine helicopter widely used amongst police, ambulance services and for executive transport. Originally developed by MBB from their Bo.108, was handed over to the new company Eurocopter in the 1990s incorporating the Fenestron tail rotor in the process. The EC.135 has been powered by a Turbomeca Arrius or by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206.

Manufactured at Eurocopter s German site in Donauworth with first production aicraft (D-HQQQ) delivered August 1, 1996 to DRF. The 1000th EC135 was rolled out in 2011.

From January 1st, 2014 is known as Airbus Helicopters EC135
