History News Videos
Era Helicopters (originally Economy Pest Control, then Era Aviation) was founded in 1948 by Carl Brady in Alaska, initially focusing on contract work with helicopters, including mapping and supporting the oil and gas industry. They expanded into both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter operations.

The company offered offshore transport, pipeline surveillance and other services also in Gulf of Mexico, Argentina ( HM ), Brazil ( Aeróleo ), Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, India, Netherlands ( KLM ), Mexico, and Suriname .

The original Era Aviation, which included the helicopter division, was sold by Rowan Companies to SEACOR Marine (now SEACOR Holdings) in late 2004. SEACOR then separated the fixed-wing airline from Era Helicopters.
As of July 2019, operates 108 helicopters including all owned, joint ventured and leased-in.

In June 2020, Era Group Inc. (the helicopter operator) merged with Bristow Group Inc to form a larger, more diversified company that retained the Bristow Group name.
