Foudre class

Landing platform dock ships known as TCD (Transport de Chalands de Debarquement) in french service. Their main missions are the amphibious assault of infantry and armoured vehicles, mobile logistic support for naval forces and humanitarian missions providing hospital facilities for large-scale medical and evacuation operations. The flight deck can accommodate up to seven Super Puma helicopters having three landing spots whilest the hangar has capacity for two Super Frelon or up to four Super Puma.
