21jun56 - Kommando der Marineflieger (Command of Naval Air) established at Kiel-Holtenau
01jan67 - Kommando der Marineflieger became Marinefliegerkommando(Naval Air Command)
11jul69 - Marinefliegerkommando became Marinefliegerdivision (Naval Air Division)
01apr94 - Marinefliegerdivision became Flottille der Marineflieger (Naval Air Fleet)
30jun06 - Flottille der Marineflieger disbanded. The remaining two wings are directly subordinate to the Fleet Command
