Established 2011, the Weiden based air ambulance can reach emergency locations within a radius of 60 kilometers in a maximum of 15 flight minutes. Their area of operation is northern Bavaria but around 20 percent of flights are in the Czech Republic

Northern Bavaria Renews Air Ambulance
13-Aug-20 - German air ambulance DRF Luftrettung renewed contract for its “Christoph 80” station at Latsch airfield in Weiden, Bavaria for another 5 years starting April 2021 and will extends automatically until 2031 if is not terminate in advance. The extension includes the transition from the EC135 to a new H145 helicopter #Bavaria
