30-Nov-11 - AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that CPI Group of Czech Republic has signed a contract for one AW119Ke single engine helicopter. This aircraft, configured with a six seat cabin interior, will be operated by HeliCzech for corporate transport missions. The helicopter is expected to be delivered in mid-2012. This order marks the entrance of AgustaWestland in the Czech Republic’s helicopter market and continues the success of the AW119Ke in Europe where more than 50 aircraft have been sold for a range of applications including VIP/corporate and passenger transport, sightseeing, air taxi, fire fighting, law enforcement, homeland security and utility.
07-Mar-11 - AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica Company, is pleased to announce that Firefly S.p.A of Chile has taken delivery of an AW119Ke single engine helicopter. The aircraft will be used to perform corporate transport missions. The delivery marks the entrance of the AW119Ke into the Chilean helicopter market. AgustaWestland has previously sold and delivered to the Carabineros de Chile four law enforcement-configured AW109 Power light twin helicopters. The company has also sold a Grand light twin to a private customer in 2010 for corporate transport purposes.
02-Nov-10 - AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica Company, is pleased to announce that the State of Goiás, in central Brazil, has ordered three AW119Ke single engine helicopters for law enforcement, fire-fighting and transport missions. The contract is worth 11 million dollar and also includes training for both aircrew and maintainers, with all three aircraft scheduled for delivery in December 2010. Synergy Aerospace, a division of Synergy Group, signed a multi-year contract and distribution agreement in July 2006 for AgustaWestland commercial helicopters in Brazil and this sale by Synergy marks the entry of the AW119 into the Brazilian law enforcement market.
