1949-julDeployment Operation Firedog departed UK for Far East deployment, contributing to air strikes in Malayan jungles.
1950-jun-29DeploymentJPKure while on Far East station, diverted to Kure to re-store for Korea and departed 29 Jun, with CAG-13 embarked.
1950-jul-2Deploymentreassigned to US Task Group 77.4 (with USS Valley Forge), off east coast of Korean peninsula after N Korea invaded S Korea. Remained with TF 77 until 26 Jul.
1950-sep-20Deploymentcompleted mission with Commonwealth Task Force (off Korean west coast) and after being relieved by HMS Theseus on 10 Oct, left theatre for the UK, arriving Portsmouth in Nov.
1950-decRefitat HMD Portsmouth, until c Apr 1951, as a transport carrier.
1952Trialstrials conducted with commercial version of Sycamore
1952-febTrialsangled flight deck trials (painted 3 deg offset).
1953Refitbecame Cadet Training Ship, completed c Aug

1964-octTrialspost-conversion sea trials and recommissioned as a Fleet Repair Ship at HMNB Portsmouth on 7 Jan 1965.
1965-jan-29Deployment Konfrontasi departed HMNB Portsmouth for the Far East station with 9 Whirlwind HAR.10 of 230 Squadron and 3 Wessex HC.2 of 18 Squadron .
1965-feb-21HomeportSGSembawang naval base Singapore, until 1971
1968-sep-20DeploymentExercise Exercise Coral Sands participated in Exercise Coral Sands, until 13 Oct. Moved 200 Hovercraft Squadron of Royal Corps of Transport from and to Singapore.
1970-novDeploymentBDBhola Island Operation Burlap to assist in Cyclone relief around the Ganges delta.
1971DeploymentPans People filmed their Xmas 1971 Top of the Pops video on Triumphs flight deck. Departed Singapore for return to UK, via Mombasa. Brought back at least Wasp HAS.1 XS543.
1972HomeportChatham, until Dec 1981
1972-marRefitRefit, completed Dec 1975 and into reserve.
1980DecommissionedPut on disposal list after 8 years in reserve at Chatham
