1955-1958, I served in the 67th ARS. We had 2 H-19 and several SC-54Ds Also later SA-16 sea planes. My name is Charles Cummings
1965-1967, I was with the 67th. I stayed on the HC54D’s until they all departed for the states. I then went to the HC130H when we moved to Moron, Spain. I worked the flight line as asst. crew chief and was the night maintenance alert chief when not flying.nRuss Hayden
I was a member of the RAF Mountain Rescue Service and flew to Iceland with 67 ARRS for snow and ice training. We also went to the top of the glacier and back in record time. Hamilton Anderson
1965 -1968, served in the 67th ARRS as a Aircraft Radio Repairman (30150). The HC-130H was being assigned at Prestwick , Scotland and a few of HC-54s were being sent back to the States. Prestwick was some great place to be stationed! In June 1966,the Squadron moved to Moron Air Base in Spain, also a great duty station. We picked up a Detachment of HH-43 Huskies, and got some HC-130s and personnel from a Air Rescue Squadron from Libya Tripoli. Proud to have been a part of an Outstanding Unit award(1967). My name is Raymond (Ray) Johnson. I'm now living the Villages,Florida Proud to be an Air Force Veteran!
1967-1969, Spain, Moron Air Base. What awards were given to 67 th ARRS
1972-1974, 67th ARRS. Avionics shop, Doppler Nav, both C-130 and HH-53C. Best duty I ever had, lots of work, but worth it when you see a couple of fishermen stepping off a chopper after being picked up when their boat went under. Jim Berwick, Sgt, -
Dec79-Mar83 - Spent most my time working QA, Avionics, Visited all the 67th Detachments. SSGT while I was at Woodbridge. MSgt. Ret. David Smith.
1983-1985, I was in the 67th ARRS at RAF Woodbridge (Woody) in the sheetmetal shop. I also worked on the HC-130s deployed to Keflavik Iceland in 89 while I was stationed there (also the H-3s there) Was also stationed at Woodbridge in 90-92 when the same aircraft were in the SOS squadrons. Deployed to Desert Shield / Storm, Operation Provide Comfort, and Northern Watch with the SOS squadrons. Still remember the tail numbers of the helicopters and 130s. Loved it at the "country club" as we called it. Much better than being at Bentwaters! TSGT Dennis Reed Harrell retired.
1984-1986, I was posted to RAF Woodbridge. Crew Chief with two TDY's for manning assist to DET 14 Keflavic summer of 84 and winter of 84-85. Keflaviks HH-3E's were 67-14715, 64-14717 and 66-13285. I got to go on a rescue mission when one of the birds had a B.I.M. indicator light and had to spend the night on a small island with the 4 brothers and 1 sister. The sister had a medical situation and we were trying to fly her back for medical attention. We flew out to the island with a spare blade and changed it over the FOD deflector in front of the engines with a mattress on top. I have several pictures of the mission. The helicopters at Woodbridge were HH-53C's with 68-8284 (RAF Cosford museum), 69-5784 (Maxwell AFB) 69-5796 AMARC, 69-5797 Combat loss 4/12/2004 and 69-5784 AMARC. PCS'd to Kirtland, one more year on H-3's and crosstrained into C-141B's. Flew three years as a flight engineer. Got out in 1991, Went back in in 2005 on JSTARS, two trips to the desert. Last six years on C-17's at Charleston. Retired in 2017. At Delta working Rolls Royce engines. 33 years at Delta out of Atlanta.-Bryce Ulmer
Mar84-Mar85, I was attached to the maintenance unit of Detachment 14, 67th ARRS, Kéflavìk NS, Iceland. Worked on 3 HH-3C's (don't recall the tail numbers, but I believe they were sequential. Possibly 215/216/217, but time plays tricks on my memory). If it's possible, I need to find unit records from that time.
