
The 7th Air Group concentrate all Air Force helicopter operations with the exception of the the Andes mountains search and rescue unit which is assigned to the IV Air Brigade at Mendoza.
Unit peacetime responsabilities includes firefighting ( Plan Nacional de Manejo del Fuego ) and Antarctic support.
Since 1994 had deployed Bell 212 and Hughes 500 to the United Nations ArgAir flight in Cyprus (UNFICYP)
Since 2004, the Bell 212 deployed in Haiti to support the United Nations Stabilization Mission (MINUSTAH) where they operate jointly with Chilean air force helicopters.
