
In 2009 Marines UH-1Y had first combat deployment when HMLA-367 went to Afghanistan for operation Enduring Freedom. As of 2010, 70 UH-1Y were in order with almost half of them already delivered. Total expected were 160 for 2018.
Bell delivered the 160 and final UH-1Y for the USMC in April 2018 and continued to produce and deliver 189 AH-1Z Viper through 2022.
