The HH3FR was a Search and Rescue asset of the USCG. Also used for Law Enforcement ELT (Enforcement of Las and Treaties) and anti-drug smuggling and in the military role in cooperation with the US Navy. Assigned originally at CGAS ST Petersburg FL, CGAS Salem Mass., CGAS Travis City Mich., CGAS San Diego CA, CGAS Brooklyn NY, CGAS Kodiak AK and CGAS Astoria Or.
