Reformed as an Army Air Corps squadron on 24 Nov 1969 at Detmold. 
Reformed on 1 Mar 1978 by renumbering 657 Squadron.
During the first half of 2001, maintained a detachment from Gutersloh, of 2x Lynx AH.9 at Sarajevo.
661 was Recce Sqn and only flew Gazelle helicopters. When I arrived in 1984 Major Walsh was OC and in 95 we did a 6 month tour of NI at Aldergrove.
